Industrial vessels used in high temperature processes of steel and cement production are protected by refractory linings built with mortarless joints. These dry joints, formed stacked bricks have a crucial importance on the mechanical behaviour lining. The stiffness consequently stresses generated thermal elongation reduced due to present article presents results experimental numerical tests thermomechanical these compressive strength brick was assessed at ambient temperatures statistical analysis distribution bricks’ shape imperfections carried out.
