چکیده
The improved phase modulation method is used to numerically simulate a two-dimensional freak wave. While generating waves at specific positions, the spectral structure of target spectrum can also be maintained, and statistical characteristics wave sequences satisfied. numerical simulation process discussed in detail from perspective different spectra other parameters, priority applicability Joint North Sea Wave Project (JONSAWP) determined, accuracy significantly improved. At same time, electromagnetic scattering are studied based on two-scale (TSM). calculation results normalized radar cross section (NRCS) under polarization modes compared, effects wind speed, incident frequency, angle discussed. Experiments show that NRCS obviously lower than background wave, relatively simple. This provides an effective reference for detection offshore engineering.

Numerical Simulation of Wave Overtopping Over Composite Berm Breakwater
Breakwaters have changed a lot during their design history. Overtopping is an important parameter that its evaluation and reduction has always been noticed. In this study, the wave overtopping of composite berm breakwater as a new conceptual structure has been investigated numerical modeling was performed using FLOW-3D software. Then, based on a laboratory model conducted by Losada et al, cali...
متن کاملNumerical Simulation of Wave Breaking
Wave breaking is important for understanding of both sea wave dynamics and microwave scattering/emission of the ocean. Experimental studies of breaking waves are mostly related to tank measurements and to a lesser extent to field observations [1, 2]. Theoretical results regarding wave breaking are mostly obtained by numerical simulation [3]. Comparison of those with tank experiments leads to th...
متن کاملNonlinear four-wave interaction and freak waves
Four-wave interactions play an important role in the evolution of the spectrum of surface gravity waves. This follows from direct simulations of an ensemble of ocean waves using the Zakharov equation. The theory of homogeneous four-wave interactions, extended to include effects of nonresonant transfer, compares favourably with the ensemble averaged results of the Monte Carlo simulations. In par...
متن کاملApplication of Radar and Microwave Scattering to Ocean Wave Research
The high data rate and advanced technology of modern radar systems make them attractive instruments for measuring the properties of random wave fields. When the objective is wave research, it is particularly important that the relation between wave field properties and radar output be clear and unequivocal. This is generally the case in the measurement of radar range (altimetry), the measuremen...
متن کاملNumerical simulation of water entry of tunnel cross section with different deadrise angles and tunnel radiuses
This study deals with the numerical modeling of symmetrical water entry of tunneled sections. In this study, firstly, the water entry problem of a wedge section without tunnel in four different deadrise angles was numerically modeled. The obtained results related to the pressure distribution on these sections and the maximum pressure have been compared with the experiment results. In the next s...
