چکیده
As alternative transportation is getting more and fashionable, people worldwide are "shifting" to walking trips, even for their daily commuting, traffic crashes suffered by pedestrians still a great concern road safety public health researchers practitioners. In this regard, risky or "aberrant" behaviors have emerged, during the last few years, as key issue be considered crash prevention. Nevertheless, idea of "generic pedestrian" re-evaluated, analyzing features, such gender, seems crucial understanding pedestrians' performance outcomes. The objective study was examine effect gender on both deliberate (traffic violations) undeliberate (errors) behaviors, considering set theoretically based demographic psychosocial variables potential predictors. For cross-sectional study, data from 1070 Spanish (60 % females 40 males, aged between 16 79) 17 regions Spain, responding an electronic questionnaire, were analyzed through multi-group structural equation modeling (MGSEM) approach. Although age, handheld device-interaction, sensation-seeking seem similar errors violations reported genders (similarities), factors risk perception, educational level misbehaviors observed in other users significant predictors only case male pedestrians. On hand, distractions been shown play role females' violations, while males' affect involuntary behaviors. findings support influence statistical explanation also depicting differential certain when we compare female

Background: Although pedestrian-vehicle accidents are often the results of risky behaviors during road crossings, there is limited evidence concerning the risky road crossing behaviors of pedestrians. This study was aimed at eliciting and exploring the reasons that can help explain why young pedestrians take risky road crossing behaviors. Methods: A qualitative content analysis approach was con...

deployable scissor type structures are composed of the so-called scissor-like elements (sles), which are connected to each other at an intermediate point through a pivotal connection and allow them to be folded into a compact bundle for storage or transport. several sles are connected to each other in order to form units with regular polygonal plan views. the sides and radii of the polygons are...

The Relation of Sleep, Distress, and Coping Strategies—What Male and Female Students Can Learn from Each Other?
Sleep quality, distress, and coping strategies differ between male and female students. However, effects of gender on their relation have not been evaluated. Therefore, the primary aim of this study was to confirm gender differences on sleep quality, chronic distress, and various coping strategies, as well as to examine gender differences in their relation to each other. A cross-sectional onlin...
