NOTES ON TAXONOMY OF ATHYRIUM NIGRIPES (BLUME) T. MOORE COMPLEX, AN INSIGHT FROM MOUNTAINS IN JAVA

Athyrium nigripes is a highly variable species described and recorded mostly from Java few surrounding islands. There are different arguments on its delimitation hence extent of distribution. We attempted to elucidate disagreement four related Java: nigripes, Aspidium costale, At. pulcherrimum nitidulum with phenetic approach. The analysis formed clusters; cluster I consist the large sized include type specimen Asp. II for plants standard form III only serrated IV contain form. Since costale clustered in group I, this more closely than nested II. Large size degree division indicate major clustering within complex species.
