چکیده
This paper investigates the possibility of using a multi-surface plasticity model to predict shear failure in reinforced concrete beams. The analysis is carried out in-house software called 3D-NLFEA. constitutive for material based on plasticity-fracture model, which had previously developed simulate behavior cover spalling columns. To obtain asymmetric pattern, random properties imperfection each meshed element used. Two beams available literature are investigated and compared with results From comparisons, excellent agreement between test result was obtained. 3D-NLFEA can peak load accurately. prediction only varies 2.19% beam OA1 3.28 % OA2, it lower than results. crack patterns also show typical diagonal extension from support loading steel plate.

Numerical Analysis of Punching Shear Failure of Reinforced Concrete Slabs
Nearly no load bearing behaviour of reinforced concrete members allows such varied interpretations and complex discussions as the shear behaviour. Especially the three-dimensional problem of the punching shear failure of reinforced concrete members is internationally discussed. Nevertheless up to now, there is no unified design approach or even an overall accepted design model. Especially for l...
متن کاملNumerical Study of Progressive Collapse in Intermediate Moment Resisting Reinforced Concrete Frame Due to Column Removal
Progressive collapse is a chain reaction of failures propagating throughout a portion of the structure disproportionate to the original local failure occurring when a sudden loss of a critical load‐bearing element initiates a structural element failure, eventually resulting in partial or full collapse of the structure. Both General Services Administration (GSA) and United States Department of D...
متن کاملNumerical simulation of the shear behaviour of reinforced concrete rectangular beam specimens with or without FRP-strip shear reinforcement
The successful validation of a numerical model is presented that can realistically approximate the shear behaviour of reinforced concrete (R/C) rectangular beams strengthened against shear with externally applied open hoop fibre reinforcing polymer (FRP) strips. For this purpose, the measured load-deformation response of ten (10) full-scale R/C beam specimens is utilised. These specimens were l...
متن کاملForecasting of Shear Strength of Concrete Beam Reinforced with FRP Bar
This study develops a new approach for forecasting shear Strength of concrete beam without stirrups based on the artificial neural networks (ANN). Proposed ANN considers geometric and mechanical properties of cross section and FRP bars, and shear span-depth ratio. The ANN model is constructed from a set of experimental database available in the past literature. Efficiency of the ANN model was c...
متن کاملExperimental Investigation on Shear Cracking Behavior in Reinforced Concrete Beams with Shear Reinforcement
This paper presents an experimental investigation to clarify shear cracking behavior of reinforced concrete beams. The effects of the various influential parameters on the spacing between shear cracks and the relationship between shear crack width and stirrup strain at the intersection with shear cracks were carefully investigated. It was found that shear crack width proportionally increases wi...
