چکیده

Abstract Train-induced structural vibration caused more and attentions nowadays, the present paper developed a numerical approach of train-induced simulation with ANSYS software. The finite element model is composed by buildings, rail, sleepers, ballast several layers soil, moving load represented wheel-rail coupling forces, both solid element, shell beam are used in model. Acceleration time history levels key point on buildings given, effect different forces dynamic response building also numerically investigated. Comparisons free boundary, symmetric fixed boundary transmitting conditions responses illustrated. Numerical results show that, condition type could affect structures near train tracks, validation test should be performed firstly to determine proper amplitude frequency. proposed method provides powerful technic tool for predicting train-induce vibration, employed evaluate control approaches.

Evaluation of Recirculation Time in Bubble Train Flow by Using Direct Numerical Simulation

In this research, hydrodynamics of the Bubble Train Flows (BTF) in circular capillaries has been investigated by Direct Numerical Simulation (DNS).The Volume of Fluid Based (VOF) interface tracking method and streamwise direction periodic boundary conditions has been applied. The results show that there exists an appropriate agreement between DNS and experimental correlation results. The re...

CFD Simulation of High-speed Trains: Train-induced Wind Conditions on Trackside Installations

Speed is the created air flow as well as slipstream effects as the trains move. These effects can have some level of impact on fuel and energy efficiency  of  the  train,  but  their  other  important  outcome  is  the emergence of turbulent flows at higher speeds which can cause aerodynamic  drag  forces  followed  by  noise  and  vibration.  Thus, slipstream effects have significant importanc...

Numerical simulation of vortex-induced vibration of two long flexible circular cylinders in tandem

A quasi three-dimensional numerical model is developed to study vortex-induced vibration (VIV) of two tandem flexible circular cylinders. In this model, the whole cylinder is divided into many sections along its length. The hydrodynamics of each section are represented by the solution of the two-dimensional Navier-Stokes equations. The dynamic response of the flexible cylinder is predicted by t...

Numerical Simulation of a Flexible Plate System for Vibration Control

This research presents an investigation into the numerical simulation of a flexible thin plate using Finite Difference (FD) and Finite Element (FE). Based on the FD method, an appropriate model of a thin plate was derived and its corresponding natural frequencies were estimated. Then, FE modeling of the plate system was implemented using the ANSYS software and the corresponding modes of vibrati...
