چکیده
Abstract Submarine needs to complete more tasks near the free-surface area in modern war. When sailing free surface, self-propelled characteristics of submarine and its nearby flow field will be affected by surface. This paper presents research on self-propulsion surface with computational fluid dynamics (CFD) method. We take generic Joubert BB2 Marine 7371R propeller models as objects. The RANS method SST k-ω turbulence model are selected solve turbulent flows. volume (VOF) is used capture Grid convergence study performed based three sets grids different resolution. Numerical simulations under cases submergence depths velocities. proportional integral (PI) controller proposed obtain point. results accurate compared traditional one. It found that decrease depths, rotating speed point corresponding thrust increase. also explores effect characteristics, wave-making vortex structures. scientific findings provide some useful for submarines support further future.

Incompressible smoothed particle hydrodynamics simulations on free surface flows
The water wave generation by wave paddle and a freely falling rigid body are examined by using an Incompressible Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (ISPH). In the current ISPH method, the pressure was evaluated by solving pressure Poisson equation using a semi-implicit algorithm based on the projection scheme and the source term of pressure Poisson equation contains both of divergence free ve...

In this study, the experimental analysis on the bare hull resistance coefficient of submarine at snorkel depth is represented. The experiments are conducted in marine laboratory of Admiral Makarov University. The results are presented for surface condition and snorkel condition. Snorkel depth is regarded equal to one diameter of submarine hull beneath the water surface as usual in submarines. P...
متن کاملNumerical simulations of free surface flows on adaptive cartesian grids
The paper studies a method for numerical simulation of free surface flows of viscous incompressible fluids. The approach is based on the level set method for capturing free surface evolution and features compact finite difference approximations of fluid and level set equations on locally refined and dynamically adapted octree cartesian grids. We consider in detail an extension of staggered grid...
