چکیده
This paper studies contraction analysis of switched systems that are composed a mixture contracting and noncontracting modes. The first result pertains to the equivalence system uniform global exponential stability its variational system. Based on this property, sufficient conditions for mode-dependent average dwell/leave-time based switching law be contractive established. Correspondingly, LMI derived allow numerical validation property nonlinear systems, which include those with all non-contracting

متن کاملStability of Switched Systems with Average Dwell-Time
It is shown that switching among stable linear systems results in a stable system provided that switching is “slow-on-the-average.” In particular, it is proved that exponential stability is achieved when the number of switches in any finite interval grows linearly with the length of the interval, and the growth rate is sufficiently small. Moreover, the exponential stability is uniform over all ...
متن کاملPiecewise Lyapunov Functions for Switched Systems with Average Dwell Time
The stability properties of linear switched systems consisting of both Hurwitz stable and unstable subsystems are investigated by using piecewise Lyapunov functions incorporated with an average dwell time approach. It is shown that if the average dwell time is chosen sufficiently large and the total activation time ratio between Hurwitz stable and unstable subsystems is not smaller than a speci...
متن کاملμ-Dependent model reduction for uncertain discrete-time switched linear systems with average dwell time
In this paper, the model reduction problem for a class of discrete-time polytopic uncertain switched linear systems with average dwell time switching is investigated. The stability criterion for general discretetime switched systems is rst explored, and a -dependent approach is then introduced for the considered systems to the model reduction solution. A reduced-order model is constructed and ...
متن کاملGraph-Based Minimum Dwell Time and Average Dwell Time Computations for Discrete-Time Switched Linear Systems
Discrete-time switched linear systems where switchings are governed by a digraph are considered. The minimum (or average) dwell time that guarantees the asymptotic stability can be computed by calculating the maximum cycle ratio (or maximum cycle mean) of a doubly weighted digraph where weights depend on the eigenvalues and eigenvectors of subsystem matrices. The graph-based method is applied t...
