A key ingredient used in the analysis is the new notion of transverse controllability indices of a control system with respect to a set.

In this paper we derive Lyapunov stability and lin-earization properties for a class of switched systems. Based on these properties, we use an LMI method to design stabilizing controllers for switched systems. An example is given to illustrate the theoretical results.
