On the demotic-hieratic horoscopes from Athribis

In a previous issue of this journal (53/1), M. Escolano-Poveda published four elaborate demotic-hieratic horoscopes from Athribis. Three the texts are new (O.Athribis 17-36-5/1741), and fourth is reedited (ANAsh.Mus.D.O. 633). The present paper engages with two features these texts. first concerns synchronization lunar civil calendars. editor claims that year count as it appears in Greek P.Ryl. IV 589 basis for correlation between calendars texts, but shows Athribis follow cycle according to scheme found P.Carlsberg 9. second nature eight entities listed after cardinal points. interprets them an idiosyncratic system arranging places (in Greek, typically τόποι) Dodecatropos. Several readings names entities, however, must be revised, which leads turn reconsideration identification places.
