On the Physical Layer Security of Untrusted Millimeter Wave Relaying Networks: A Stochastic Geometry Approach

The physical layer security (PLS) of millimeter wave (mmWave) communication systems is investigated, where the secure source-to-destination assisted by an untrusted relay selected from a group them and there are also several passive eavesdroppers (Eves) in network. In considered system model, while distributions relays Eves follow homogeneous Poisson Point Process (PPP). To maximize instantaneous secrecy rate, novel joint selection power allocation (JRP) method developed destination source aim for jamming reception both Eves. New expressions optimal (OPA) derived non-colluding (NCE) colluding (CE). Subsequently, considering impact potential blockages, new closed-form equations analyzing system’s ergodic rate (ESR) outage probability (SOP) transmission over fading mmWave channels. Finally, numerical examples provided demonstrating superiority our proposed JRP relevant benchmarks found literature. Interestingly, ESR increases with density NCE CE scenarios, which benefit improved selecting stronger second-hop channel. Furthermore, low transmit regime, employing relatively frequencies achieves better ESR, high provide higher ESR.
