Online Formative Assessment in Higher Education: Bibliometric Analysis

Assessment is critical in postsecondary education, as it at all levels. Assessments are classified into four types: diagnostic, summative, evaluative, and formative. Recent trends assessment have migrated away from summative to formative evaluations. Formative evaluations help students develop expertise concentrate their schedules, ease student anxiety, instill a feeling of ownership they go, confirm the module’s subject notion. Online (OFA) emerged result convergence computer-assisted research. Bibliometric analyses provide readers with comprehensive understanding study topic across particular time period. We used PRISMA-compliant bibliometric method. The Scopus database was searched for BibTex-formatted publication data. In total, 898 studies were analyzed. According results, & Evaluation Higher Education Computers most influential sources. RWTH Aachen University Universitat Oberta De Catalunya effective institutions. red cluster includes terms associated higher education evaluation. word “e-assessment, e-learning, assessment, moodle” appears green cluster. This group quite yet has low centrality. highest percentage 79.2 “online assessment”. comprised three components: “distance learning”, “accessibility”, “assessment design”. important topics “e-assessment”, “higher education”, learning”. country participation network, USA UK two main centers.
