چکیده

Abstract Background Acute identification and treatment of myocardial infarction (MI) is crucial for survival. MI symptom presentation typically characterized by chest pain. Regular use opioids to relief pain chronic diseases common. However, it has not been investigated whether opioid administered prior onset associated more with atypical ischemia compared non-opioid users. Purpose To investigate if therapy symptoms MI. Methods The study registry-based. defined as patients the ICD-10 discharge diagnoses I20.0 I21 primary diagnosis <24 hours after a call Capital Emergency Medical Services, including Number (1–1-2) Out-of-hours Service (OOHS). are control group without treatment. registered in calls from 2014 2018. Opioid includes prescribed picked up <30 days Results In total, 866 10,061 were included. median age was 72.0 vs 67.8 years, 50.5% 34.5% women, 61.0% 54.7% called (1–1-2), ischemic heart disease present 48.5% 34.3% type 2 diabetes 23.1% vs. 16.2%. Atypical most prevalent OOHS, women higher age. visualized Figure 1 2. Conclusion increased MI, especially dyspnea, This might challenge clinician early diagnose thereby delay acute lifesaving Funding Acknowledgement Type funding sources: Foundation. Evaluation of ejection fraction in patients with acute myocardial infarction undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention

Introduction: Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) is a reperfusion strategy to increase life expectancy and ejection fraction (EF) in ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) patients. We investigated the effect of location, severity, type of lesion, number and type of vessel involved and time of angioplasty on the increase in EF in STEMI patients undergoing primary PCI (P-PCI) a...

STUDY OF THE ASSOCIATION BETWEEN ACTIVITY LEVEL AT ONSET OF SYMPTOMS AND PATIENT OUTCOME OF F IRST ACUTE MYOCARDIAL INFARCTION

This study sought to compare the clinical features and outcome of a first acute myocardial infarction (AMI) with onset of symptoms during or within 30 minutes of exercise, at rest and in bed. Information collected using a standard questionnaire was used to relate activity at the onset of symptoms and in-hospital outcome in 500 consecutive patients admitted to our heart center with a first ...

Depressive Symptoms Are Associated with Mental Stress-Induced Myocardial Ischemia after Acute Myocardial Infarction

OBJECTIVES Depression is an adverse prognostic factor after an acute myocardial infarction (MI), and an increased propensity toward emotionally-driven myocardial ischemia may play a role. We aimed to examine the association between depressive symptoms and mental stress-induced myocardial ischemia in young survivors of an MI. METHODS We studied 98 patients (49 women and 49 men) age 38-60 years...
