چکیده
Background: Opioid-free anesthesia (OFA) has gained popularity in recent years due to concerns about the abusive use of this drug but also potential benefits OFA for pain control and decreased side effects. Objectives: This trial aimed study whether opioid-free patients submitted laparoscopic gastroplasty compared with fentanyl. The primary objective was measure score morphine rescue analgesia. secondary evaluate incidence postoperative nausea vomiting (PONV) oxygen desaturation. Methods: Patients undergoing were randomized receive general fentanyl (n = 30) or according a predefined protocol. They assessed using verbal numerical scale (VNS), consumption PONV post-anesthesia care unit on first day after surgery. Besides, desaturation during immediate period recorded. blinded surgeon evaluators. Results: groups comparable all demographic data analyzed. A significance level 5% used, no differences found variables studied. Conclusion: specific protocol presented safe effective. However, did not find any benefit it videolaparoscopic gastroplasties.

[Opioid-free total intravenous anesthesia with propofol, dexmedetomidine and lidocaine infusions for laparoscopic cholecystectomy: a prospective, randomized, double-blinded study].
BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES Intraoperative use of opioids may be associated with postoperative hyperalgesia and increased analgesic consumption. Side effects due to perioperative use of opioids, such as postoperative nausea and vomiting may delay discharge. We hypothesized that total intravenous anesthesia consisting of lidocaine and dexmedetomidine as an opioid substitute may be an alternative t...
متن کاملA PROSPECTIVE, RANDOMIZED, CONTROLLED TRIAL OF HIGH AND LOW DOSES OF MAGNESIUM SULFATE FOR ACUTE TOCOLYSIS
At the present, many drugs are used for inhibition of uterine contractions, but the proportions of preterm labors are increasing. Although magnesium sulfate is the most commonly prescribed parenteral tocolytic agent, but its optimal use has yet to be delineated. In this study a high-dose protocol for magnesium sulfate tocolytic therapy was compared with a low-dose regimen. One-hundred patie...
متن کاملLaparoscopic total extraperitoneal repair under spinal anesthesia versus general anesthesia: a randomized prospective study
BACKGROUND Laparoscopic total extraperitoneal (TEP) inguinal hernia repair is a well-known approach to inguinal hernia repair that is usually performed under general anesthesia (GA). To date, no reports compare the efficacy of spinal anesthesia (SA) with that of GA for laparoscopic hernia repairs. The purpose of this study was to compare the surgical outcome of TEP inguinal hernia repair perfor...
متن کاملInfiltration of Suture Sites With Local Anesthesia for Management of Pain Following Laparoscopic Ventral Hernia Repairs: a Prospective Randomized Trial
BACKGROUND Postoperative pain control after laparoscopic ventral hernia repairs remains a significant clinical problem. We sought to determine the pain-sparing efficacy of local anesthetic infiltrated into the abdominal wall wounds created by the placement of transabdominal sutures used to ensure adequate fixation of the mesh during laparoscopic ventral hernia repair. METHODS Patients undergo...
متن کاملBaricity of Bupivacaine on Maternal Hemodynamics after Spinal Anesthesia for Cesarean Section: A Randomized Controlled Trial
Background: After spinal anesthesia, patients undergoing cesarean section are more likely to develop hemodynamic changes. The baricity of local anesthetic has an important role on spinal blockade effects. The aim of this study was to compare the isobar and hyperbaric bupivacaine 0.5% plus fentanyl on maternal hemodynamics after spinal anesthesia for C/S.Methods: In this double-blind study, 84 h...
