Optimization of the cycle time of robotics resistance spot welding for automotive applications

In the automobile manufacturing industry, resistance spot welding (RSW) is widely used, especially to build car's body. The RSW a standard and wide-ranging joining technique in several assembling ventures, showing wide range of possibilities for competent procedure. Robots are commonly used various industrial applications. After completing design, interest increases improve designed processes, cost-reduction, environmental impact, increase time productivity when all said be done. this paper, robot movement between two points, path followed while spotting, gripping payload-carrying activities, numbers holds, moves, possibility enhance interaction four were analyzed using an offline Robot simulation software “DELMIA-V5.” body shop assembly line SML ISUZU plant has robots that perform about 209 spots 532 s. optimal model reduced whole cycle by 68 s, after modification proper sequencing, a12.7% reduction was achieved. “DELMIA-V5” good potential produce algorithms saving precious time. It enables organization promote higher quality encourage meaningful creativity reducing design flaws.
