Optimization of yellow passion fruit peel extraction method using methanol solvent to increase antioxidant activity

This study aims to determine the concentration of methanol solvent, temperature, and time shaker in best extraction. It can produce antioxidant activity peel yellow passion fruit (Passiflora edulis Sims f. flavicarpa Deg) using DPPH method. The maceration process is carried out solvents. filtrate concentrated with a rotary evaporator until extract obtained. Variations concentrations include 60, 80, 100% (v/v) methanol-water solvent mixtures. Shaker variations extraction include: 120, 140, 160 minutes temperature 55, 65, 75 °C. results showed that from method an IC50 value 31 ppm, followed by solvents 60% 80% which values 35 41 respectively. optimum 140 minutes, 65 oC. conclusion time, oC increase vitro
