Optimizing WLAN access point placement using geospatial technique

Designing network deployment requires a selected skill to perform effective planning. Within the study of wireless networking, nowadays, design-and-adjustment approach has replaced experience-based approach. Applying optimization technique on planning will reduce cost and time consumed in comparison with trial-and-error technique. GIS spatial analysis are going be useful prediction coverage signal strength. Integrating data programming can then cause improvement design. Combining priority location solution evolutionary algorithm provide an answer for optimum access point location. This system placement was successfully implemented. Signal supported empirical model found better than log-distance cost231 Hatta model. However, cost231Hatta gives simplest problem. The result from proposed maximum area minimum number point.
