As the load on distribution networks grows, system operators and planners are constantly challenged with issue of voltage regulation or enhancing quality supply to customers at end lengthy lines. This paper presents optimum determination series capacitor units in a maximize energy-saving enhance levels. Interestingly, capacitors can capability transmission lines, reduce line losses, performance buses large induction motor loads flicker. At same time, limitations compensation taken into consideration while calculating its values. To achieve planning objective optimal flow objective, two strategies: The Improved Grey Wolf Optimization method (I-GWO) Tabu Search (TS), hybridized get benefit their advantages. I-GWO has movement strategy called dimension learning-based hunting for balance between global local search maintaining diversity. proposed (I-GWO-TS) algorithm solve mixed-integer programming objectives. be applied real Egyptian that is heavily loaded, poor regulation, also high-power losses. obtained results demonstrate approach determine capacitors’ location sizing maximization energy saving. Further, improves network regarding profile power although including were considered system.
