Outcome determinism in measurement-based quantum computation with qudits

چکیده
In measurement-based quantum computing (MBQC), computation is carried out by a sequence of measurements and corrections on an entangled state. Flow, related concepts, are powerful techniques for characterising the dependence previous measurement outcomes. We introduce flow-based methods MBQC with qudit graph states, which we call Zd-flow, when local dimension odd prime. Our main results proofs that Zd-flow necessary sufficient condition strong form outcome determinism. Along way, find suitable generalisation concept planes to this setting characterise allowed in MBQC. also provide polynomial-time algorithm finding optimal whenever one exists.

Generalized Flow and Determinism in Measurement-based Quantum Computation
We extend the notion of quantum information flow defined by Danos and Kashefi [1] for the one-way model [2] and present a necessary and sufficient condition for the deterministic computation in this model. The generalized flow also applied in the extended model with measurements in the (X,Y ), (X,Z) and (Y, Z) planes. We apply both measurement calculus and the stabiliser formalism to derive our...
متن کاملGeometry of Quantum Computation with Qudits
Determining the quantum circuit complexity of a unitary operation is an important problem in quantum computation. By using the mathematical techniques of Riemannian geometry, we investigate the efficient quantum circuits in quantum computation with n qutrits. We show that the optimal quantum circuits are essentially equivalent to the shortest path between two points in a certain curved geometry...

متن کاملDistributed Measurement-based Quantum Computation
We develop a formal model for distributed measurement-based quantum computations, adopting an agent-based view, such that computations are described locally where possible. Because the network quantum state is in general entangled, we need to model it as a global structure, reminiscent of global memory in classical agent systems. Local quantum computations are described as measurement patterns....
