Background: Esophageal cancer is one of the most prevalent types and causes death worldwide. As mainstream treatment, surgical resection technically demanding time-consuming. Therefore, scope its application limited in clinical setting. A new approach thus needed for an improved effect prognosis esophageal cancer. Objectives: This study aimed to investigate a modified thoracoscopic en-bloc esophagectomy on removal patients’ cancers outcomes. Methods: In this study, was developed remove Patients who underwent by right or thoracoscope-assisted small incisional have their removed Peking University First Hospital (Beijing, China) between January 2014 2017, were screened retrospectively studied. Cancer recurrence, overall survival, mortality, as well intraoperative postoperative outcomes, reported. Results: total 31 patients (22 male 9 female, mean age: 62.9 years) included study. Out 30 with R0 resection, eight had recurrences neck, lung, liver, bone; however, none identified mediastinum. Six died during follow-up period. Additionally, there no statistically significant difference N1 N2 patients. Moreover, perioperative complications pneumonia, arrhythmia, hoarseness, chylous ascites, consistent those reported previously. Conclusion: found safe reliable due decreased increased rate, prolonged time.
