چکیده
We propose and demonstrate an overall non-mechanical spectrally steered laser rangefinder using the dispersion-tuned swept (DTSL) a passive diffractive element. The DTSL has no mechanical moving parts, making it possible to achieve inertial-free high wavelength sweeping speed. inherent intensity-modulation characteristic of allows modulation phase-shift method be applied, similar that used for amplitude-modulated continuous-wave (AMCW) rangefinder. Since pulse repetition rate is chirped, standard signal processing techniques AMCW are not applicable. In this paper, we novel chirped (CAMPS) with technique obtain information from signal. As proof concept, demonstrated CAMPS LiDAR axial ranging resolution ~50 m at scanning speed 10 kHz.

Rayleigh noise mitigation in DWDM LR-PONs using carrier suppressed subcarrier-amplitude modulated phase shift keying.
We demonstrate a novel Rayleigh interferometric noise mitigation scheme for applications in carrier-distributed dense wavelength division multiplexed (DWDM) passive optical networks at 10 Gbit/s using carrier suppressed subcarrier-amplitude modulated phase shift keying modulation. The required optical signal to Rayleigh noise ratio is reduced by 12 dB, while achieving excellent tolerance to dis...

Several modulation techniques are defined in digital modulation, Here we are discussing about in four modulation techniques,8-PSK,8-TAPSK,16TAPSK and 16-QAM. In the paper we derive minimum non coherent distance(dnc)of block coded TAPSK and compare it with different modulation techniques, i.e. 8-PSK and 16-QAM using linear component codes. If the block length N is very small.NBC-16-TAPSK perform...
متن کاملUnderstanding and Ameliorating Non-Linear Phase and Amplitude Responses in AMCW Lidar
Amplitude modulated continuous wave (AMCW) lidar systems commonly suffer from non-linear phase and amplitude responses due to a number of known factors such as aliasing and multipath inteference. In order to produce useful range and intensity information it is necessary to remove these perturbations from the measurements. We review the known causes of non-linearity, namely aliasing, temporal va...
متن کاملVolumetric imaging with an amplitude-steered array.
Volumetric acoustic imaging is desirable for the visualization of underwater objects and structures; however, the implementation of a volumetric imaging system is difficult due to the high channel count of a fully populated two-dimensional array. Recently, a linear amplitude-steered array with a reduced electronics requirement was presented, which is capable of collecting a two-dimensional set ...
متن کاملChirped Lidar-radar for Medical Diagnostics
A new, emerging area of application involves the adaptation of microwave techniques to optical systems, such as hybrid lidar-radar for detection of underwater objects, aerial turbulence and tumors in human tissues. Microwaves and millimeter waves do not penetrate water or tissue, but light at specified wavelengths does and therefore lidar has been used for detection of objects submerged in wate...
