Pachyrhizus erosus Inhibits Adipogenesis via the Leptin-PPARγ-FAS Pathway in a High-Fat Diet-Induced Mouse Model

In 2016, obese patients represented 13% of the worldwide adult population, and by 2030, they are projected to make up 34%. Obesity is an incommunicable disease, but it can induce many health problems. The groups consisted a control, 65% high-fat group, 250 mg/kg P. erosus group. Several biomarkers, such as body weight gain, presence TC/LDL/HDL in serum, fat tissue, liver weight/morphology, were investigated define anti-obesity mechanisms erosus, adipogenesis pathway was studied. suppressed decreased TC LDL, prevented tissue gain blocking lipid droplet accumulation. effectively up-regulated levels leptin, significantly controlled both C/EBPα PPARγ levels, increased FAS expression levels. We concluded that obesity regulating leptin-C/EBPα-PPARγ might be promising AOM.
