چکیده
Abstract Background Distant metastasis from papillary thyroid microcarcinoma (PTMC) is rare. Here we report a case of PTMC with multiple lung metastases. Case presentation A 64-year-old man presented to our hospital abdominal pain. Computed tomography incidentally revealed nodules. The tumor was histologically diagnosed as carcinoma (PTC) by core needle biopsy via thoracoscopy. patient referred department for further examination. Neck ultrasonography 0.9 cm hypoechoic nodule in the right lobe gland, which PTC fine-needle aspiration cytology. Subsequently, total thyroidectomy performed, followed radioiodine therapy. Iodine-131 (131-I) scintigraphy showed strong accumulation metastasis. no evidence progression 25 months after operation. Conclusions Lymph node or extraglandular extension has been reported few published cases metastatic PTMC, including present case, and average age these 58.8 ± 12.0 years. Although active surveillance without surgical resection expected become standard care this indicates that subset patients risk factors may develop distant Hence, careful preoperative screening required avoid complications associated completion thyroidectomy.

Papillary Thyroid Microcarcinoma Arising Within a Mature Ovarian Teratoma: Case Report and Review of the Literature
Mature cystic teratoma is the most common kind of ovarian germ cell tumor. Malignant transformation is uncommon, with thyroid cancer rarely found. Papillary thyroid microcarcinoma has rarely been described as associated with ovarian teratomas. We report a case of a 34-year-old woman who presented with abdominal pain and an ovarian mass. After surgery, the patient was diagnosed with a follicular...
متن کاملPapillary Carcinoma of Thyroid with Nasal Cavity Metastases: A Case Report
Papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) is one of the most commonly diagnosed types of differentiated carcinoma of the thyroid. It is stated that lung is the most common site of metastasis followed by bone. The incidence of paranasal sinus (PNS) metastasis is fairly uncommon in case of thyroid carcinoma. To the best of our knowledge, no case of metastatic PTC to nasal cavity has been reported. In thi...
متن کاملRenal metastases as the initial presentation of papillary thyroid carcinoma: A case report and literature review
Distant metastasis of thyroid carcinoma is rare, and it occurs particularly rarely in renal regions, which represent ~3% of all thyroid distant metastases, with fewer than 30 single case study reports existing in the literature. The present study (and subsequent literature review) of papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) reports the case of a 53-year-old male patient who presented with a left renal...

Papillary thyroid microcarcinoma (PTMC) is a subset of papillary thyroid carcinoma, with tumors measuring ≤1.0 cm in maximum diameter. Esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) is the most common histopathological subtype of the various esophageal malignancies. The present study reports a rare synchronous presentation of PTMC and asymptomatic ESCC manifesting as lateral cervical lymph node enla...
متن کاملPituitary metastases from papillary carcinoma of thyroid: a case report and literature review
UNLABELLED Metastases to the pituitary gland are an uncommon complication of thyroid cancer. They resemble pituitary neoplasms posing a diagnostic challenge. We present a case of an aggressive non-radioiodine avid papillary thyroid cancer with recurrent pituitary metastases and a review of the literature. A 70-year-old woman with a history of papillary thyroid cancer and bony metastases present...
