This paper is concerned with the path planning of coal mine robot. A new workspace model presented to describe complex environment. Thus, cost a composed not only distance but also some hybrid costs that can be linked criteria optimization. To overcome drawbacks conventional ant colony optimization (ACO) algorithm, an improved ACO algorithm developed tackle issues robot based on model. Some simulation experiments are carried out robot, and validity superiority approach confirmed by results.
