This research based on the students’ problem regarding to English teaching especially speaking ability. It was caused by method of teacher in classroom not interesting for students. The objective whether or use Peer Instruction able improve ability eleventh grade students at SMA Negeri 1 Watang Pulu. applied quasi-experimental design with two group namely experimental class and control class. population this Pulu academic year 2016/2017. sample XI.IPA as 2 result data analysis showed that improved, it mean score pre-test 41.13 post-test 57.65. improved through method.
