PENGUMPULAN TABUNGAN SAMPAH: RECYCLING PROGRAM BEKERJA SAMA DENGAN MITRA SAMPAHQU

Permasalahan sampah selalu ada dalam kehidupan masyarakat. Selain dapat merusak lingkungan bila tidak dikelola dengan baik, sebenarnya juga mempunyai nilai ekonomis, didaur ulang. Untuk membangun kesadaran dan kepedulian terhadap lingkungan, maka tim PkM Prodi Teknik Industri menyelenggarakan kegiatan recycling program pengumpulan tabungan secara berkelanjutan yang sudah dimulai sejak 2016. Kegiatan ini merupakan bagian terintegrasi dari mata kuliah industri ramping hijau, dimana mahasiswa mempelajari bagaimana menerapkan prinsip lean and green manufacturing untuk meminimasi limbah/waste serta melakukan penghematan sumber daya alam mulai pengadaan bahan baku sampai distribusi barang jadi bahkan tahap penggunaan produk oleh konsumen. Dalam ini, para dosen Industri, daur ulang berupa botol PET, kertas kardus, kemasan plastik lainnya. Pengumpulan pemilahan dilakukan di kampus rumah masing-masing. Sampah terkumpul terpilah kemudian disetorkan sebagai kepada mitra pengepul SAMPAHQU. Selama periode berlangsung, didapatkan total sebesar 1614,7 kg jenis terbanyak adalah HVS bekas 71,2%.
