Peptic ulcer of gastrojejunal anastomosis: an undeservedly neglected problem

Aim . To evaluate the incidence and causes of peptic ulcers gastrojejunal anastomosis to develop corresponding preventive measures. Materials Methods We retrospectively analysed case histories patients with ulcer who have been admitted our surgical unit during 1981-1996 2007-2021. A total 62 underwent Billroth II resection were examined radiographically, endoscopically, intraoperatively, including proteolysis acidity measurements. Results While number gastric operations has reduced by 86%, treated anastomotic decreased only 20%. The main cause was high proteolytic activity stump. In 22 out 28 fully patients, duodenal hemiresection. in Kemerovo 2021 0.9 per 100,000 population, 3.7 surgeries population. without vagotomy insufficient acid reduction are gastrointestinal anastomosis, especially ulcers. Conclusion significant decrease distal resections stomach according over past 25 years is not accompanied a similar decline hospitalized anastomosis.
