Perceived Importance of Metrics for Agile Scrum Environments

Metrics are key elements that can give us valuable information about the effectiveness of agile software development processes, particularly considering Scrum environment. This study aims to learn metrics adopted assess processes and explore impact how role performed by each member in contributed increasing/reducing perception importance these metrics. The years experience on this was also explored. To end, a quantitative conducted with 191 professionals companies based Portugal. results show is not determining factor, while individuals more have higher related team performance. same conclusion observed for business value metric product backlog percentage test automation testing phase. findings allow extending knowledge project management their teams, addition offering important insights into implementation engineering adopt Scrum.
