چکیده

Unstable pelvic ring injuries are potentially life-threatening and associated with high mortality complication rates in polytrauma patients. The most common cause of death patients is massive bleeding. With resuscitation, external fixation can be performed as a temporary stabilization procedure for hemostasis unstable fractures. Internal following the yields superior more reliable stabilization. However, time-consuming extended approach to open reduction internal frequently precluded by an unacceptable physiologic condition and/or concomitant multiple injuries. Conservative treatment may lead deformity, which various functional disabilities such limb length discrepancy, gait disturbance, sitting intolerance. Therefore, if patient not expected suitable additional surgery due poor condition, definitive combination percutaneous screw fixations restore should considered acute phase. Herein, we report case injury successfully treated phase severely injured patient. Keywords: Pelvic injury; External fixators; Percutaneous screw; Minimally invasive stabilization; Case reports

Risk of Spermatic Cord Injury During Anterior Pelvic Ring and Acetabular Surgery: An Anatomical Study

Background: Anterior pelvic ring surgery includes a variety of plating techniques and insertion of retrograde superior pubic ramus screws. Anterior acetabular surgery also includes fixation through an ilioinguinal or Stoppa approach. These exposures risk injury to the spermatic cord and accompanying genital branch of the genitofemoral nerve. The primary aim of this study was to identify the d...
