Performance Analysis of Dihedral Corner Reflectors for Slope Movements: A Case Study From Aniangzhai Landslide in China

Using SAR and InSAR technology, artificial corner reflectors (CR) are popular coherent targets for monitoring ground instability with sub-centimeter accuracy in non-urban areas. In this letter, we investigate the performance of a newly designed small dihedral reflector post-failure creep at Aniangzhai landslide Danba County, China. The new double geometry CRs consist two sets semi-circular metal plates, each 30-40 cm radius perpendicular to other. Six such installed Corner Reflector Interferometric (CR-InSAR) analysis using both TerraSAR-X (TSX) High-resolution Spotlight (HS) data medium-resolution Sentinel-1 (S1) images. first identified images probability model by taking into three factors. These (1) inverse amplitude dispersion, (2) intensity increment after installation, (3) an upper empirical bound derived from ensemble average pixel intensities post-deployment Experimental results show that improve background TSX around 30 dB, signal-to-clutter ratio (SCR) exceeding 25 dB. Furthermore, radar cross-section (RCS) S1 remains relatively stable, ranging 15 dB 23 making them suitable CR-InSAR double-difference phase observations.
