Performance assessment of full depth asphalt pavements manufactured with high recycled asphalt pavement content

چکیده
Reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP) is generated during road rehabilitation and resurfacing projects. This highly valuable recycled material should be used for manufacturing fresh hot mix (HMA) new layers to ensure the highest added value minimise environmental impact. The use of RAP already common practice worldwide; however, incorporating into HMA still very minimal in Hungary. As part a research work containing 20-50% was designed, manufactured tested. paper discusses performance tests carried out on laboratory plant mixed mixes; using this data overall full depth (FDA) predicted through general mechanistic design. outcomes showed that high content mixes can have superior performance; disproves perception are substandard construction materials. analysis performed found with present low risk in-situ performance. However, order achieve outcome, application correct design methodology, appropriate management suitable capability mass production paramount.

Rut Resistant Asphalt Pavements
The three major distress conditions affecting the performance of asphalt pavements are permanent deformation or rutting, fatigue or load associated cracking, and low temperature or thermal cracking. In an earlier technical topics article (Fall, 1998), we examined the causes of fatigue cracking and the importance of good compaction during construction to help minimize this type of distress. In t...

Laboratory Evaluation of High Asphalt Binder Replacement with Recycled Asphalt Shingles (ras) for a Low N-design Asphalt Mixture
This study investigated the effect of high asphalt binder replacement for a low N-design asphalt mixture including RAP and RAS on performance indicators such as permanent deformation, fracture, fatigue potentials, and stiffness, was studied. An experimental program included complex modulus, fracture, overlay reflective cracking resistance, wheel track permanent deformations, and push-pull fatig...
