Performance Evaluation of Phase-angle Gradient Method for Phase Retrieval Based on Low-frequency Amplitude-only Near-field Data
The Phase Angle Gradient Method (PAGM) is a recent technique developed for phase retrieval based on amplitude-only measurement data. Preliminary results have shown that the PAGM is able to perform phase retrieval at 100 MHz with accurate phase information based on measured field components on three planar surfaces. In this paper, a performance evaluation of the PAGM under different configuratio...
متن کاملNear-field amplitude and phase recovery using phase-shifting interferometry.
Scattering-type scanning near-field optical microscopy has allowed for investigation of light-matter interaction of a large variety of samples with excellent spatial resolution. Light incident on a metallic probe experiences an amplitude and phase change on scattering, which is dependent on optical sample properties. We implement phase-shifting interferometry to extract amplitude and phase info...
متن کاملData for phase angle shift with frequency
Phase angle shift between the current and voltage with frequency has been reported for a single phosphoric acid fuel cell in the cell temperature from 100 °C to 160 °C and the humidifier temperature from 40 °C to 90 °C. An electrochemical workbench is employed to find the shift. The figure of phase angle shift shows a peak in high humidifier temperatures. The peak in phase angle shift directs t...
متن کاملPhase retrieval from noisy data based on sparse approximation of object phase and amplitude
A variational approach to reconstruction of phase and amplitude of a complex-valued object from Poissonian intensity observations is developed. The observation model corresponds to the typical optical setups with a phase modulation of wavefronts. The transform domain sparsity is applied for the amplitude and phase modeling. It is demonstrated that this modeling results in the essential advantag...
متن کاملNear-field tomography without phase retrieval.
We investigate the near-field inverse scattering problem with evanescent waves. An analytic solution to this problem within the weak-scattering approximation is used to show that the usual Rayleigh limit may be overcome even when measurements are made without phase information. Applications to a novel form of three-dimensional microscopy with subwavelength resolution are described.
