چکیده
Dynamic crack propagation assessment in functionally graded materials (FGMs) with micro-cracks is accomplished using bond-based Peridynamics (PD). The dynamic fracture behaviour of various FGMs’ material models studied Kalthoff–Winkler experiment. growth predictions and associated damage the specimen under loading conditions are considered. effect near macro-crack tips on toughening mechanism evaluated terms velocities. Stochastically pre-located modelled to obtain material. In addition, velocities time required for compared different FGM cases. It frankly found that if a propagates harder region specimen, decrease toughness increase contrast softer region. Furthermore, around decelerate enhance body depending gradation properties.

Free Vibration of Functionally Graded Beams with Piezoelectric Layers Subjected to Axial Load
This paper studies free vibration of simply supported functionally graded beams with piezoelectric layers subjected to axial compressive loads. The Young's modulus of beam is assumed to be graded continuously across the beam thickness. Applying the Hamilton’s principle, the governing equation is established. Resulting equation is solved using the Euler’s Equation. The effects of the constituent...
متن کاملDisk Vibration Analysis of Functionally Graded Materials
Perforated discs have many applications in different parts of industry. By making such disks of functionally graded materials, more capabilities can be obtained from them. Vibration analysis of these kinds of disks can help us make them more efficient. In this paper, modeling and evaluation of disk vibration of functionally graded materials with regard to thickness were carried out using Abaqus...
متن کاملFunctionally Graded Materials
Thermoelastic simulation of functionally graded materials is practically important for engineers. Here, the extension and assembly of our two previous papers (Computational Mechanics 2006, 38, p51-60; Engineering Analysis with Boundary Elements 2008, 32, p704-712) is presented to evaluate the transient temperature and stress distributions in two-dimensional functionally graded solids. In this c...
متن کاملStatistical fracture modeling: crack path and fracture criteria with application to homogeneous and functionally graded materials
Analysis has been performed on fracture initiation near a crack in a brittle material with strength described by Weibull statistics. This nonlocal fracture model allows for a direct correlation between near crack-tip stresses and failure. Predictions are made for both the toughness and average fracture initiation angle of a crack under mixed-mode loading. This is pertinent for composites and is...
متن کاملAn Investigation of Stress and Deformation Behavior of Functionally Graded Timoshenko Beams subjected to Thermo-Mechanical Load
A functionally graded material beam with generalized boundary conditions is contemplated in the present study in order to examine the deformation and stress behavior under thermal and thermo-mechanical load. Three discrete combinations of functionally graded materials have been deliberate in including a wide range of materials and material properties. The variation of material properties has be...
