Personality trait differences across types of entrepreneurs: a systematic literature review

Abstract The personality traits that define entrepreneurs have been of significant interest to academic research for several decades. However, previous studies used vastly different definitions the term “entrepreneur”, meaning their subjects ranged from rural farmers tech-industry start-up founders. Consequently, most has investigated disparate sub-types entrepreneurs, which may not allow inferences be made regarding general entrepreneurial population. Despite this, frequently extrapolated results narrow in general. This variation entrepreneur samples reduces comparability empirical and calls into question reviews pool without systematic differentiation between sub-types. present study offers a novel account by differentiating “entrepreneur” on entrepreneurs’ traits.
