چکیده
Poor phosphorus utilization is a common limitation of sustainable cotton production. Even so, the intrinsic potential for efficient acquisition roots remains unclear. In this study, we aimed to explore if in affected by interactions that could possibly be associated with root morphology and gene expression, between genotype application rates. A pot experiment was conducted seven rates: 0, 12.5, 25, 50, 75, 150, 300 mg P kg −1 . The agronomic characters, morphology, expression PHT1 varieties different efficiencies were measured. According results, efficiency cultivar XLZ19 higher than XLZ13 uptake because upregulation GhPTs increased total length proportion fine roots. Olsen-P levels soil ranged from 20 30 at seedling stage 15 25 flowering stage, suggesting better growth supply. conversion fertilizers decreased when rate exceeded 50–75 acquisition–efficient phenotype owes its high morphological changes Finally, these crops are highly acquisition, agricultural practices production may consume less fertilizers.

Root-released organic acids and phosphorus uptake of two barley cultivars in laboratory and field experiments
A major portion of phosphorus (P) applied as fertilizers is bound in soils as P compounds of variable adsorption strength, reducing the effectiveness of P fertilization. Plant genotypes equipped with mechanisms for utilizing the adsorbed P more efficiently can, therefore, enhance the effectiveness of P fertilization. Such genotypes will also enrich plant gene pools for further analysis and upgr...
متن کاملThe response of three Leucadendron cultivars (Proteaceae) to phosphorus levels
The objective of this study was to compare the growth of three Leucadendrons (Proteaceae) cultivars (`Safari Sunset', `Orot' and `Meir') fertigated with three levels of P. The plants were grown in tuff (pyroclastic material, characterized by high porosity) in 10 l pots and fertigated daily. The experiment included control treatment (plants irrigated with tap water) and three levels of P (0, 10 ...
متن کاملEffect of Phosphorus Application in Hydroponic Solution on Growth and Phosphorus Uptake in Chrysanthemum Plants
The relationship between phosphorus (P) uptake and growth rate of chrysanthemum plants grown hydroponically for cut flowers was investigated. In Exp. 1, fresh weight increase of chrysanthemum cv. Seiun plants at flower budding phase administered 0 to 40 ppm in culture solution for 16 days was evaluated. 1. P uptake by the chrysanthemum plants was nearly proportionate to P concentration in the c...
متن کاملEffect of phosphorus on arsenic uptake and metabolism in rice cultivars differing in phosphorus use efficiency and response.
A hydroponic experiment was carried out to investigate the effect of phosphorus (P) nutrition on arsenic (As) uptake and translocation within the seedlings of rice cultivars. The experiment occurred in three stages: I 5 days of acclimatization (nutritive solution); II 10 days under P (0.0 and 0.09 mM) and As (0.0 and 100 mM) treatments; III 5 days under recovery. The As exposure had significant...
متن کاملDrivers of Phosphorus Uptake by Barley Following Secondary Resource Application
Minable rock phosphate is a finite resource. Replacing mineral phosphorus (P) fertilizer with P-rich secondary resources is one way to manage P more efficiently, but the importance of physicochemical and microbial soil processes induced by secondary resources for plant P uptake is still poorly understood. Using radioactive-labeling techniques, the fertilization effects of dairy manure, fish slu...
