Photovoltaic (PV) Thermal Fault Monitoring Using The Catadioptric Device

Large photovoltaic (PV) generations are vulnerable to thermal faults where the location is difficult determine. The pre-existing fault detection method (mostly manual visual inspection) time-consuming and non-continuously monitoring. It may lead more defects, such as degrading faulted PV cell or putting farm on fire. We propose a novel monitoring using catadioptric device (CD), which promises quick continuous detection. In this paper, an early stage in CD development, we focus constructing model involving some parameters identify object image formation. Then, through model, simulation case study of proses was performed ostensibly placed front arrays. variated selected combination that resulted symmetrical non-overlapped array image, then analyzed see sensor requirements CD. results showed developed could simulate formation with good validity. Also, result found nine parameter combinations produce images ratio affected by camera position than focal length. Finally, minimum requirement determined center length farthest monitor all
