چکیده
The dimensional instability of rubberwood [Hevea brasiliensis (Willd. ex A. Juss.) Müll. Arg.] is one the major drawbacks that limits its utilization. Therefore, treatment needed to improve these properties. Hydrothermal in different buffered media techniques stability. physical properties hydrothermally treated (pH 4, 6, 8, 10) and tap water 7.43) with temperatures (160 °C, 180 °C 200 °C) were studied. In this study, such as equilibrium moisture content (EMC), density (ρ), mass loss (ML), absorption (WA), volumetric swelling coefficient (VSC), thickness (TS) anti-swelling efficiency (ASE) investigated for both untreated specimens. Both temperature significantly affected results indicated EMC (%), ρ (kg/m3), ML VSC TS (%) samples reduced increased. With exception WA increased when from 160 but started decrease was further °C. research study also exhibited hydrothermal using at enhanced stability samples. Alkaline gave best on compared other medias.

Differential carbohydrate metabolism conducts morphogenesis in embryogenic callus of Hevea brasiliensis (Müll. Arg.).
Somatic embryogenesis in Hevea is stimulated when the embryogenesis induction medium contains maltose, rather than glucose, fructose, or sucrose, in equimolarity (Blanc et al., 1999). Kinetic analyses were carried out on various physiological and biochemical indicators over the 8 weeks that the induction phase then expression of somatic embryogenesis can take. Embryogenesis induction in the pre...
متن کاملPurification and characterization of NAD(P)H quinone reductase from the latex of Hevea brasiliensis Müll.-Arg. (Euphorbiaceae).
NAD(P)H quinone reductase [NAD(P)H-QR] present in the latex of Hevea brasiliensis Müll.-Arg. (Euphorbiaceae) was purified to homogeniety from the B-serum fraction obtained by freeze-thawing of the bottom fraction of ultracentrifuged fresh latex. The purification protocol involved acetone fractionation, heat treatment, ion exchange chromatography and affinity chromatography. The M(r) determined ...
متن کاملClonal stability of tree dryness in Hevea brasiliensis Muell. Arg
Clonal stability of tree dryness was evaluated in eleven clones of Hevea brasiliensis at the Rubber Research Institute of Nigeria. The experimental design was the randomized complete block with three replicates and ten trees per replicate. The clones were evaluated in three locations. Four stability parameters were applied. The stability parameters were: environmental variance, regression index...
متن کاملClonal and Planting Density Effects on Some Properties of Rubber Wood (hevea Brasiliensis Muell. Arg.)
Inter-clonal and intra-clonal wood properties and their variations from pith to bark were evaluated for wood density and anatomical features on rubber wood (Hevea brasiliensis Muell. Arg) from a 9-year-old plantation with planting densities of 500 and 2000 trees per hectare comprised of clones RRIM 2020 and RRIM 2025. Planting density had uneven effects on wood density and wood cell features. I...
متن کاملMites (Arachnida: Acari) collected on rubber trees Hevea brasiliensis (Willd. ex A.Juss.) Müll.Arg. in Santana, Amapá state, Brazil.
The purpose of this study was to elaborate a preliminary list of the mite species associated with rubber trees in the municipality of Santana, in the state of Amapá, Brazil. Two collections of rubber tree leaves were conducted on May 2nd and June 5th , 2010. Twenty-five plants were sampled at random. Three leaves were collected per plant, from the lower third of the crown. The samples were plac...
