Physics-inspired Metaheuristics for Construction Site Layout Planning Problem

In the construction industry, material handling plays an important role. Finding proper locations for facilities not only can affect expenses, but also it impact on process of materials. Therefore, in order to supply engineering demands and materials, site layout planning problem (CSLP) within a short-distance transportation is considered as NP-hard problem. Thus, researchers are extensively using metaheuristics solve problems. This study presents comparative ten physics-inspired with regard their efficacy how they address real this vein, two case studies examined terms planning. Finally, findings reveal that Gravitational Search Algorithm (GSA) Thermal Exchange Optimization (TEO) have ability come up better solutions, comparison other optimization algorithms.
