Physiological and biochemical mechanisms of fruit cracking: A review
نویسندگان
چکیده
Fruit cracking is a serious physiological disorder that affects fruit quality and productivity. It pre-harvest results in poor of fruits; these are not marketable cause economic losses to growers. Generally, occurs during the second phase growth when expanding pulp induces pressure peel becomes thinner microcracks appear, ultimately splits drops off from tree. Several factors contribute irregular water supply, heavy crop load, warm-humid climatic conditions, nutrient mis-management hormonal imbalance. Cultivars having peels deficiency Ca, K, B P soils more prone cracking. This review provides biochemical basis along with recommended control measures reduce this disorder. Foliar application synthetic auxins, gibberellins minerals (Ca, Zn, B) at different time intervals for species significantly included review. Further molecular studies need be proposed study actual mechanism through function genesand biotechnological approaches can followed so resistant varieties produced

dom’ reached anthesis most rapidly, while plants of ‘Mathilde Gütges’ and ‘Merritt’s Supreme’ were the slowest to f-lower. Table 2 represents days to anthesis and not days to salable color. In general, plants were salable, based on sepal color, ≈10 days before anthesis, so subtracting 10 days from data in Table 2 gives forcing times (from start to sale) for these cultivars when a 62F (17C) mini...
متن کاملBiochemical regulation of pigment motility in vertebrate chromatophores: a review of physiological color change mechanisms
The fundamental unit of rapid, physiological color change in vertebrates is the dermal chromatophore unit. This unit, comprised of cellular associations between different chromatophore types, is relatively conserved across the fish, amphibian, and reptilian species capable of physiological color change and numerous attempts have been made to understand the nature of the four major chromatophore...
متن کاملBiochemical and Physiological Changes during Thermal Stress in Bovines: A Review
The variation in climatic variables like temperature, humidity and radiations were recognized as the potential hazards in the growth and production of all domestic livestock species. Thermal environment is a major factor that can negatively affect both production and reproduction in dairy animals, especially in animals of high genetic merit. Among the stressors, heat stress has been of major co...
متن کاملInjectable Hydrogels: A Review of Injectability Mechanisms and Biomedical Applications
Hydrogels have been used for biomedical applications in recent decades. They are a perfect candidate for regenerative medicine as they resemble the extracellular matrix of native tissues. In addition, their highly hydrated structure makes them a suitable choice for drug and other therapeutics delivery. Injectable hydrogels have increasingly gained attention due to their capability for homogeneo...
متن کاملPhysiological and biochemical mechanisms of heavy metal tolerance
Heavy metal contaminants are a serious problem worldwide to human health, animals and some plants. Phytoremediation, is a promising technology, which has gained wide acceptance in remediating the contaminants from the soil, which uses green plants known as hyperaccumulators. Biochemical mechanisms such as adsorption, transport, accumulation and translocation that are adopted by plants are of su...
