چکیده
In the current study, roots of Quercus agrifolia Nee were subjected to phytochemical analysis determine presence various compound groups. To explore effect roots, we evaluated four solvent extracts, namely, crude ethanolic extract (CEE), n-hexane, chloroform (CHCl3), and ethyl acetate (EtOAc), for their antibacterial, antifungal, hemagglutination activities. Agar well diffusion agar tube dilution methods used antibacterial antifungal effects, respectively, activity was measured against human erythrocyte blood The qualitative extracts showed different classes compounds, i.e., flavonoids, coumarins, terpenoids, etc. CEE fractions tested Escherichia coli, Listeria monocytogenes, Alcaligenes faecalis, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, with exhibiting widest zone inhibition A. faecalis (30 mm) moderate activities P. aeruginosa (18 mm%), L. monocytogenes E. coli (20 mm%). n-hexane fraction remaining had good all bacterial strains. ability plant also separate fungal strains, Alternaria solani, Aspergillus niger, Triticum harzianum, Fusarium oxysporium, a higher than CEE. During investigation by assay, some exhibited low amount lectin complex in selected plant. study revealed that has an ideal medicinal viability contains diverse range classes. This research is first systematic demonstrating its versatility variety biological

Phytochemical Screening and Antibacterial Studies on Leaf and Root Extracts of Asclepias Curassavica (L)
Asclepias curassavica like most of the medicinal plants has highest significance for its valuable secondary metabolites (glycosides and saponins). The clones produced thereof hence need to maintain their absolute genetic stability so that no unwanted variation in secondary metabolite yield can occur. Plant extracts that inhibit the growth of pathogenic microorganisms without harming the host ma...
متن کاملPhytochemical Screening and Antibacterial Activity of Different Extracts of Propolis
Propolis is a natural resinous substance (bee glue) collected by honey bees. The aim of the study was to perform phytochemical analysis of different extracts of propolis viz. ethanolic extract, methanolic extract and water extract. The antibacterial activity was studied by using Well diffusion method and Macro Broth dilution method against Salmonella typhimurium at different concentration like ...
متن کاملPHYTOCHEMICAL SCREENING AND ANTIBACTERIAL ACTIVITY OF Aginanthus brunneus EXTRACTS
Aginanthus brunneus is a specie of Africa mistletoe and is hemiparasitic in nature growing on many trees. Phytochemical screening showed the presence of carbohydrates, Alkaloids, Tannins and flavonoids. The ethanolic and aqueous extracts inhibited growth of Klesiella aerogenes, Proteus spp Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Gentamycin and Cloxacillin did not exhibit any activity against ...
