Prof. Dr. Ricardo Luis Galimberti was born on 21 March 1950 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He is married to Lucia Paganelli and they have eight children 16 grandchildren. graduated from the University of Aires (UBA) 1974 soon appointed as a teaching assistant. has continued at his alma mater ever since, becoming head professor 2010. Through years, he nurtured deep vocation for education Dermatology. In fact, founded graduate studies Dermatology UBA along with Argentine Society (SAD). completed specialization 1980 entered department Italian Hospital (IHBA) after. served Department 1982 2015 later honorary head, passionate both patient care scientific research. As IHBA, introduced fields dermatological surgery, laser therapy aesthetic dermatology; inaugurated Center Treatment Psoriasis dermatology specialization, where many Latin-American students pursue their studies. promoted collective skin oncology created research centre called ‘Institute Medical Research’. Professor participated more than 60 clinical pharmacological trials, pursuing development antibacterial antifungal drugs. Lately, devoted treatment immune pathogenic diseases collaboration international laboratories. still encourages participation young thus fostering cutting-edge training among doctors. Maybe due friends, always believed discussion means enhancing knowledge. Hence, partaken several Dermatological societies, attended over 150 congresses even hosted two Aires. founder, director editor ‘Educándonos’ magazine. This publication poses question about how dermatologists should be educated, address, first, inequality Argentina and, second, new challenges that appeared around globe. remains truthful belief working friends improve education, way achieving fulfilling life. I been influenced by Argentinian renowned dermatologists. Doctor Augusto Manuel Casalá encouraged me study practice suggested microbiology specialization. my which worked student.
