چکیده
The plasmonic resonance frequency of metal nanoparticles (NPs) strongly depend on the geometry, size, and separation between NPs. Here, a structure is designed based film-coupled nanoparticle phenomenon analytically investigated by finite element method via COMSOL Multiphysics software tool. optical behavior studied compared for two noble metals (gold silver as case study). Simulation results confirmed that structural elements such dielectric layer thickness, film distance significantly affect properties. Consequently, optimizing dimensions mentioned in strong field enhancement gap layer. simplicity this structure, easy controlling confinement limited area, lack incident light angle tunning are characteristic features proposed structure. Strong volume makes promising nanoantennas, SERS platforms, sensing applications.

Plasmonic properties of gold nanoparticles separated from a gold mirror by an ultrathin oxide.
That a nanoparticle (NP) (for example of gold) residing above a gold mirror is almost as effective a surface enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) substrate (when illuminated with light of the correct polarization and wavelength) as two closely coupled gold nanoparticles has been known for some time. The NP-overmirror (NPOM) configuration has the valuable advantage that it is amenable to top-down fa...

Metal nanostructures show great applications in chemical sensing, biomedical detection, optical-thermal therapy, and optical communications because of their electromagnetic field enhancement properties at the visible and the near-field infrared wavelengths. Such strong optical field enhancement induced by the localized surface plasmon resonance is dependent on the configurations and the sizes o...
متن کاملUltrathin, ordered oxide films on metal surfaces.
Metal oxides and oxide thin films are extensively used as active catalysts and catalytic supports, as well as in many other important technical applications. Unlike TiO(2), which is a semiconductor and can be investigated using a variety of surface science techniques, most metal oxides are insulators, which seriously restricts their use as model surfaces with modern surface science techniques. ...

The Taguchi design of experiments (DOE) approach is adopted here to evaluate the impact ofeffective factors such as nanoparticles type, nanoparticles to model solution mass ratio, asphaltenestructure, and temperature on asphaltene adsorption equilibrium. Herein, the toluene-asphaltenesolution model is applied. Three commercially nanoparticles (SiO2, Al2O3, and TiO2) are used.<...
