Platanus hybrida’s Phenolic Profile, Antioxidant Power, and Antibacterial Activity against Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA)

Methicillin-resistant S. aureus (MRSA) are a threat to public health as they frequently reveal multidrug-resistant pattern. Researchers all over the world on an urgent hunt for new treatments help fight infections before antibiotics become obsolete, and some natural alternatives, such polyphenols, have already exhibited therapeutic properties. Therefore, this study aimed determine phenolic profile, antioxidant capacity, antimicrobial activity against MRSA of leaf, fruit, stem bark extracts Platanus hybrida. The polyphenols were extracted with water/ethanol (20:80) mixture methodology included HPLC-DAD, DPPH, FRAP, CuPRAC. To address issue from One Health perspective, Kirby–Bauer disc diffusion method was performed nine strains three different sources (livestock, wild animals, humans). Fourteen phenolics identified leaf extract showed highest content, followed by fruit extract. also capacity while had lowest capacity. Both inhibited growth sources, did not inhibit human strains. This work highlights complex chemical composition antioxidative potential derived P. hydrida.
