PO-01-143 HYPOTHERMIA-INDUCED J-WAVES AND ARRHYTHMIAS ARE ASSOCIATED WITH AN EXACERBATION OF REPOLARIZATION RATHER THAN CONDUCTION HETEROGENEITY IN HUMAN HEARTS

چکیده
The cardiac effects of hypothermia have been studied for many years since the initial discovery electrocardiographic J-wave in a case accidental hypothermia. However, precise mechanisms underlying origin hypothermic and associated arrhythmias man are still debated. A limited number ex vivo animal studies focused on transmural repolarization dispersion, but do not provide global mapping ventricular activation heterogeneities. To map hypothermia-induced electrophysiological changes at tissue level study initiation maintenance arrhythmias. Optical experiments were performed isolated right ventricles (RV) from pigs (N=7) humans obtained through our organ donation program (N=3 control subjects; N=1 SCN5A BrS-associated mutant subject). Epi- endocardial (EPI ENDO) action potential conduction properties assessed different pacing frequencies mapped quantified baseline (37°C), during severe (29°C), after return to normothermia. Hypothermia induced reversible prolongation duration 80% (APD80) (EPI: +27%, ENDO: +21%; p<0.01) (+45% both EPI ENDO), an increase APD80 steepness APD restitution curve. Repolarization time dispersion was increased species (pigs: +94%, p<0.001 +79%, p<0.05 ENDO; humans: +97% +14% ENDO). total significantly prolonged +58%, p<0.001; +46%, humans. Arrhythmogenicity further human (+43% spontaneous versus +100% humans), which always displayed defibrillation-resistant In carrier mutant, additionally potentiated epicardial localized conductive disorders already detected baseline. Our results indicate that, humans, contrary pigs, arrhythmogenesis result more exacerbation rather than heterogeneity. Pre-existing heterogeneities within pathological hearts can however contribute phenotype

BACKGROUND Cardiac dyssynchrony due to intraventricular conduction delay produces heterogeneous regional wall stress and worsens arrhythmia susceptibility in failing hearts. We examined whether chronic dyssynchrony per se induces regionally heterogeneous electrophysiological remodeling. METHODS AND RESULTS Adult dogs (n=9) underwent left bundle branch radiofrequency ablation (QRS duration inc...
متن کاملFrequencies of HLA-E*01:01/*01:03 Alleles in an Iranian Healthy Population and Its Comparison with Hyperglycemia Patients
Background and Aims: The human leukocyte antigen-E (HLA-E) is a member of non-classical HLA class-I genes which is highly conserved through evolution. In general, so far 25 alleles of HLA-E have been described. However, the existence of only two allelic group; HLA-E*01:01 and HLA-E*01:03 have been demonstrated in all the populations. HLA-E*01:01 and HLA-E*01:03 differ only at codon 107 of exon ...
متن کاملheterogeneity within the orientalist discourse: representation of the orient in womens travelogues and mens paintings
from 1950s onward, new theories and critical approaches burgeoned across humanities. these theories were context-oriented; as a result, the analysis of discursive practices gained significance. thus, social, political, historical and cultural discourses that have been hitherto marginalized and considered inferior to literary texts, were introduced as important texts to be analyzed by critics. o...
