چکیده

We study the higher-harmonic generation (HHG) using elliptically polarized two-color driving fields. The HHG via bi-chromatic counter-rotating laser fields is a promising source of circularly ultrashort XUV radiation at attosecond time scale. ellipticity or polarization pulses can be tweaked by modifying emitted harmonics' ellipticity, which controlled varying driver propose simple setup to control fields, eventually changes pulses. A well-defined scaling law for pulse as function rotation angle quarter-wave plate also deduced solving time-dependent Schrodinger equation (TDSE) in two dimensions. further explored obtain desired degree polarization, ranging from linear elliptical circular polarization.

Generating Isolated Elliptically Polarized Attosecond Pulses Using Bichromatic Counterrotating Circularly Polarized Laser Fields.

We theoretically demonstrate the possibility to generate both trains and isolated attosecond pulses with high ellipticity in a practical experimental setup. The scheme uses circularly polarized, counterrotating two-color driving pulses carried at the fundamental and its second harmonic. Using a model Ne atom, we numerically show that highly elliptic attosecond pulses are generated already at th...

Single attosecond pulse generation with intense mid-infrared elliptically polarized laser pulses.

We have studied theoretically high-harmonic-order and single attosecond pulse generation with elliptically polarized laser pulses at wavelengths ranging from the visible to the mid-infrared. Results of ab initio simulations of the time-dependent Schrödinger equation show that the ellipticity dependence of the high-harmonic signal intensifies with increasing wavelength of the driving pulse and s...

Double Ionization by Strong Elliptically Polarized Laser Pulses

Observations of double ionization by femtosecond-scale near-optical laser pulses with intensities above about 10W/cm revealed a prominent surprising feature. The doubly ionized ion count, as a function of incident laser intensity, was observed to be significantly above the value predicted by the famous ADK ionization formula [1], which is used to describe non-correlated tunneling escape of two ...

Generation of elliptically polarized nitrogen ion laser fields using two-color femtosecond laser pulses.

We experimentally investigate generation of nitrogen molecular ion (N2+) lasers with two femtosecond laser pulses at different wavelengths. The first pulse serves as the pump which ionizes the nitrogen molecules and excites the molecular ions to excited electronic states. The second pulse serves as the probe which leads to stimulated emission from the excited molecular ions. We observe that cha...

Intense circularly polarized attosecond pulse generation from relativistic laser plasmas using few-cycle laser pulses.

We have investigated the polarization of attosecond light pulses generated from relativistic few-cycle laser pulse interaction with the surface of overdense plasmas using particle-in-cell simulation. Under suitable conditions, a desired polarization state of the generated attosecond pulse can be achieved by controlling the polarization of the incident laser. In particular, an elliptically polar...
