Pollution Assessment of Private Bore-Well Water Supply Using Contamination Index and Contour in Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, Nigeria

The study focus on a pollution assessment of private boreholes water supply using contamination index and contour in Ogbia Local Government Area Bayelsa State. Water samples from were collected accordance to APHA [1] the preserved ice-park taking laboratory within four hours time collection. borehole analyzed according [1]. results sample analyses compared with WHO 2012 NSWDQ 2007. finding indicates that, bacteriological parameter for locations 1,3,5,8,9,11 12 all above 2007 standards drinking quality. result physico-chemical temperature sampling falls AMBIENT limit, colour is clear, pH standard water, Turbidity, apart 10 6.50 mg/l that other 2007standard quality, Conductivity, 682.50 Chloride Cl, Calcium Ca2+, Nitrate NO3, Nitrite NO2, TDS, Salinity NaCI, Total Hardness, 56.00 Magnesium Mg2+, water. These required proper treatment before consumption.
