چکیده
Potassium (K) is one of the main and most hazardous trace species released to gas-phase during thermochemical conversion biomass. Accurate experimental data models K release are needed better understand chemistry involved. Tunable diode laser absorption spectroscopy (TDLAS) used for simultaneous real-time in situ measurements atomic K, water (H2O) gas temperature vicinity (boundary layer) biomass particles combustion a laboratory single-particle reactor. Atomic detected wide dynamic range, including optically thick conditions, using direct at wavelength 770 nm, while H2O determined by calibration-free scanned modulation 1398 nm. The high accuracy repeatability setup allows distinguish with varying initial particle mass, beam height above fuel type. Four types different ash composition investigated: softwood, Salix, Miscanthus wheat straw. For Salix straw, behaviour is, first time, compared detailed numerical model taking into account interaction between K/S/Cl ash. A good agreement achieved measured calculated time-resolved concentrations devolatilization phase particles.

simulation and experimental studies for prediction mineral scale formation in oil field during mixing of injection and formation water
abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...
Numerical Simulation of Gluey Particles
We propose here a model and a numerical scheme to compute the motion of rigid particles interacting through the lubrication force. In the case of a particle approaching a plane, we propose an algorithm and prove its convergence towards the solutions to the gluey particle model described in [19]. We propose a multi-particle version of this gluey model which is based on the projection of the velo...
متن کاملSimulation of Drug Release from PLGA Particles In Vivo
Specific targeting of tissues and/or cells is essential for any type of drug delivery system because this determines the efficacy and side effects of the drug. Poly lactic-co-glycolic acids (PLGA) have long been used as biomaterials for drug delivery due to their excellent biocompatibility and biodegradability. Direct visualization of PLGA particles is feasible even within tissues, and cell spe...
متن کاملNumerical Simulation of Biomass Combustion Efficiency in Circulating Fluidized Beds
One of the major advantages of circulating fluidized bed (CFB) combustors is their efficiency for the combustion of wide variety of solid fuels. From this point of view, in this study, the combustor efficiency has been defined and investigated for CFB biomass combustor based on the losses using a dynamic 2D model. The model is shown to agree well with the published data. The combustion efficien...
