POWDER X-RAY DIFFRACTION STUDY OF THE Cu3SbS3-CuI SYSTEM

چکیده

The nature of phase equilibria in the Cu3SbS3-CuI binary system over entire concentration range were studied by means powder X-ray diffraction analysis (PXRD) for first time at room temperature. It was found that sample containing 66.7 mol.% CuI composed a single and has pattern completely different from constituent phases under study. crystal lattice type parameters, determined on basis this using TOPAS 4.2 EVA computer programs are fully consistent with literature data Cu5SbS3I2 four-component compound. copper (I) iodide rich samples consist two-phase mixture phases. However, is unstable Cu5SbS3I2-Cu3SbS3 composition range. In interval, characterized complex physico-chemical interaction initial components.

X-Ray Powder Diffraction Metrics

To compare sample data from x-ray diffraction a suitable metric is developed to evaluate the similarity (or dissimilarity) between samples and to compare it to a references. The methodology focuses on the d-lines and uses the intensity measurements indirectly in the algorithm. The resulting d-line distribution and summary statistics of the differences is used to establish whether a true differe...

X-ray powder diffraction on proteins

Macromolecular structures are traditionally determined by means of single crystal X ray diffraction from protein crystals of micrometer dimensions. Nevertheless, the growth of good quality single crystals can be very difficult or even impossible, especially in cases of large proteins, membrane proteins or protein complexes. Modern developments of X-ray powder diffraction have allowed the struct...
