چکیده
The notable challenges facing non-target environmental monitoring are the improvement of reproducibility extraction rates and selection internal standards for concentration correction. In present study, a rapid comprehensive analytical method, which we had developed in previous greatly reduces need pretreatment. method was applied to actual measurement river water. water samples were divided into five sub-samples analyzed by sorptive using magnetic stirrer coated with polydimethyl siloxane. Direct whole sample extracts determined thermal desorption/comprehensive two-dimensional gas chromatography/time-of-flight mass spectrometry. Approximately 2,000 components detected, 80 these selected statistical evaluation order investigate stability ability detect differences among samples. effectiveness this technique confirmed methods, including Kruskal-Wallis test, is used examine nonparametric multigroup comparisons once can comparing raw data obtained as precise measurements without identify substance itself. brief, show that changes signal intensity any unknown be detected. We note variations (retention time, spectrum, intensity) affect differences. accuracy each therefore improved enable sensitive detection.

Comprehensive two-dimensional gas chromatography time of flight mass spectrometry (GC×GC-TOFMS) for environmental forensic investigations in developing countries.
The disposal and dumping of toxic waste is a matter of growing concern in developing countries, including South Africa. Frequently these countries do not possess access to gas chromatography-high resolution mass spectrometry (GC-HRMS) for the determination of persistent organic pollutants (POPs). This publication describes an alternative approach to the investigation of toxic waste using compre...

متن کاملDetection of an Extended Human Volatome with Comprehensive Two-Dimensional Gas Chromatography Time-of-Flight Mass Spectrometry
BACKGROUND Comprehensive two-dimensional gas chromatography coupled with time-of-flight mass spectrometry (GCxGC-TOF MS) has been proposed as a powerful new tool for multidimensional analysis of complex chemical mixtures. We investigated GCxGC-TOF MS as a new method for identifying volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in normal human breath. METHODS Samples of alveolar breath VOCs and ambient ro...
