Background: It is undeniable that a lot of patients worldwide suffer from different types wounds. The complex process wound healing has severe effect on the life quality as well causing an economic load healthcare institutions. Although availability various therapies for managing patients with acute and chronic wounds past decade, these are usually expensive and accompanied by undesirable side effects. Hence, discovery new arsenal healing remains hot topic research. Recently, plants their by-products have garnered remarkable attention as source therapeutic agents to treat This because medicinal provide rich reservoir of phytochemicals could potentially become affordable effective agents. Eurycoma longifolia Jack or Tongkat Ali (TA), one well-known traditional Malaysia, it been scientifically proven properties. Hydrogels hydrophilic polymer networks can imbibe significant number fluids. Results: crude drug sample, TA present same microscopical characters E. tap root. Ic50 118.5 μg/mL. prepared using 2% xanthan gum successfully its later application wound healing agent.
